I paint sound figuratively and literally to preserve my narrative.

I’ve always wanted to create worlds. I view emotions and eras through images of color and musical tones to understand them. The way that I understand frustration, love, any type of relationship is through the piano. I write compositions based off of moments in my life that I can’t verbalize. I compare people to different scales and chords to try and understand how they made me feel through sound. I understand my daily interactions as well as my higher beliefs through these musical connections.  Thus, it’s been important to me that my art exhibits “Gesamtkunstwerk” defined by Richard Wagner as “total art”.  Total art is building a piece with multiple mediums. Wagner’s early concept of multimedia art burst the lines from my pieces transforming them into operatic events. He offered a solution for my inability to communicate through words. I’m interested in composing for films, video games, and other visual media.

I strive to preserve my narrative as a half-Vietnamese LGBTQ woman in my art, and support projects and people with similar endeavors.
